CAS-1103

All parameters of the CAS-1103 can be configured and enabled or disabled using the MKD-1103 (Minimum Keyboard Display). The MKD-1103 can also be used to show the position of nearby ships and the status of the AIS device. Furthermore, the user can use the MKD-1103 unit to send and receive text and safety messages; the user can also force the encryption of messages before they are sent.

The CAS-1103 AIS station includes an internal GPS receiver used to acquire position and time information; this information can be forwarded to other on-board equipment.

The AIS CAS-1103 station has an RTCM port dedicated to the acquisition of DGNSS messages to the unit, which allows corrections to be forwarded directly to the internal GPS.
